Get Started with CloakMe
Choose Your Operating System
Windows XP/Vista/7
- Download and install the OpenVPN Client for Windows.
- Download the OpenVPN security configuration file and save it to C:\Program Files\Openvpn\config
- Start the OpenVPN application as Administrator by clicking on Start, All Programs, OpenVPN and right click on "Run as administrator"
- If you have more than one OpenVPN configuration, you should select CloakMe VPN from the OpenVPN taskbar. Otherwise, it will run automatically.
- Congratulations! You are ready to surf the Internet anonymously. Just remember to run OpenVPN as Administrator each time.
Mac Tiger/Leopard/SnowLeopard/Lion
- Download the OpenVPN security configuration file and save it to your desktop or another convenient location.
- Download and install the Tunnelblick Client for Mac.
- After installation, Tunnelblick will automatically launch. If it fails to do so, locate Tunnelblick in your Applications folder and launch it.
- When asked, choose "I have configuration files."
- When asked what type of configuration, choose "OpenVPN Configuration(s)."
- When asked which type to creaste, choose "Open Private Configuations Folder."
- Drop the configuration file that you downloaded from CloakMe into the window that is opened for "Configurations."
- Congratulations! You are ready to surf the Internet anonymously. Just connect Tunnelblick's CloakMe connection.
